Appreciate the heads up on Sgt R.F. Anderson, R.A.F. No. 21 Operational Training Unit

Vickers Wellington, R1047, February 6, 1942

Aircraft taking off from RAF Edgehill, Shenington, seven miles Northwest of Banbury, Oxfordshire, England for bombing practice on nearby Radway ranges, aircraft lost the port propeller and reduction gear and, while circling on one engine, aircraft lost control and came down at 1500 at Rough Hill Farm, less than a mile from Edgehill runway. 6 of the crew died in the aircraft crash with 1 surviving.
