Temujin -
Wow! Thanks so much for all the great information! Yes, I do have the photos and yes my dad did contribute those to that particular website. Thank you for posting. I find the Ops Records a real treat albeit very straightforward. They do tell a story of their own and I find them fascinating.
Your efforts are very much appreciated!
Cheers,
John

Re: Hello From Portland
Do you know where in Egypt RCAF Squadron 417 was based? I think they kept moving their base depending on Axis movement. TIA!! John

Re: Hello From Portland
Just a follow up to BFBSM post, LG 175 was located at Amirya (LG.175) Egypt and the map I had previously posted gives you the locations to all the Airfields (last post on page 1 of this thread)BFBSM wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 10:43 pmAccording to The Squadrons of the Royal Air Force & Commonwealth 1918-1988 by James J Halley, following the arrival of 417 Squadron, RCAF, in Egypt on 4 June 1942, it was at the following places across the North African continent following the axis forces movement on the dates specified:
