Sgt Rudolph Charles Carlyle Smith J/16175
Greetings, would like to see if I could get a clarification on Sgt Rudolph Charles Carlyle Smith, RCAF, J/16175
Assigned to R.A.F. No. 112 Squadron in the Desert, was flying Curtiss Kittyhawk FR131 when he was engaged in combat with enemy aircraft, believed to be Bf-109's and was shot down northwest of Foum Tatouine, he was list a Missing in Action, now presumed to have been Killed in Action.
The question that I have is some pages list him as coming from Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. and others state that he was from Wheatley, Ontario, Canada, I have learned to at least ask, due to finding a lot of miss information on these pages, so I am asking
Cheers
George

George, here is another photo, lists him as American (which is incorrect)........but I’ve also highlighted in BLUE some more AMERICAN’s in the squadron

Thank You Temujin for the clarification, there was just to many "Red Flags" happening on Sgt Smith and where he was from. And I was glad, at least where you could see why I was asking the question !
Cheers
