You mention that he went to Training Coy on 19 Oct 1944. So far all I could find for Oct 44 is his name on the nominal roll for HQ Coy in Oct 44

I was incorrect, I found info on the Training Company and they were a seperate unit, BUT under the command of the 1st Cdn Para Bn (while it was in England) and received rations and quarters with the Battalion. Short time frame, but I’ll see what I can find……..the BEST source is his military records, which you can order thru LAC……BUT, the issue is it can take as long as one year to get them, so your probably out of luck ………BUT (one more but) maybe you could phone LAC, tell them your info and see if you can...
