Greetings, trying to keep my research and records correct, I am currently working on Private John Caullay, A/107982, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada (Kings Scout), Died: April 8, 1945. Buried at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, Netherlands.
Both CWGC and the CVWM state that his parents live in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., yet the newspaper clipping in find-a-grave states that he is from Canada. Did his parents move to the U.S. during or maybe after the war ???
Thanks, Any help on this would truly be appreciated !
Cheers !

The first page of his records, indicates residence in Canada at the time of enlistment.

Thank You very much BFBSM for the info, I know a lot of people moved around after the war, so when CWGC and such state son of, and the parents are in the U.S., I like to see if I can find where the Fallen Warrior is from ! Appreciate the help !
Also hope things are going okay as well as things can be expected !

Things are good at the moment. Except for the stupidity in the supermarkets.
