I was looking for information for another person (who served in the 2nd HAA Regiment) and was trying to find the 2nd HAA Regt Nominal Roll on embarkation from Canada to the UK.
Unfortunately I haven’t found it YET. But did confirm the following from the War Dairies and from Convoy web.
2nd Cdn HAA Regiment departed Canada (Halifax) to England (Clyde) on the 19th Sept 41 on the SS Pasteur. The ship sailed as an “independant” (meaning NOT in a Convoy) with no escort.
Regiment boarded the ship on the 18th Sept 41, ship departed Halifax on the 19th Sept 41
Arrival Clyde on the 27 Sept 41
The War Diaries (below) do not confirm the ship, but on the ship was the 5th Cdn LAA Regt, and I looked at their war diaries, which confirmed the ship was the SS Pasteur
