Continuing my discussion on Juno Beach Map Traces. An excellent source for maps, both WW1 and WW2 is the McMaster University website, where you can see and download many original maps.
Below is an example (only a small screen shot of the original map, which covers all of Canada) of the various airfields used by the RCAF during WW2 in Canada.

Last example I’ll post. This is a map of Caen, the circles with numbers are all the bridges in the city......but all where destroyed by the Germans during the capture of Caen, and many Royal Canadian Engineer Bailey Bridges were constructed over or next to the ruins of these bridges
