I have another WW I American, Roy Edward Dodds, Buffalo, New York, ACE with 7 aircraft shot down and flew in the RFC No. 106 and 103 Squadron flying the De Havilland DH. 9, after the war he returned to the U.S. and was a car salesman, when WW II started, he crossed the border and
joined the RCAF and became an Instructor during WW II, does anyone know what Squadron he was assigned to ?
Sadly, this warrior passed away April 2, 1965, May he always be Remembered.
Cheers
George

Re: Roy Edward Dodds, RCAF Instructor
George, from the posts above, it looks like he served at No 2 Initial Training School, this was in Regina Saskatchewan. Also you can see he was then a Squadron Leader (same as a Major in the Army)
A Initial Training School was the “boot camp” of the Air Force. Recruits were trained in drill, military subject etc before they went on to a trades school (air craft trades, pilot, navigator, WAG’s, etc etc
I’ll post more info on No 2 Initial Training School for you
