Hi I am the daughter of Samuel Davidson who was in the rear gunner position when the Lancaster flown by Acree crashed in the Azores. My father was in the water walking along the wing and then hanging onto a tire. I heard for three hours before rescued by boat. The rest of the crew were able to get into a dinghy. If anyone has pictures, as I did see some along time ago I would be interested in anything.
