Trooper Frank W. Corson, B/61382, ???

Post by georgetanksherman » Sun Nov 24, 2019 3:38 pm

Was wondering if someone can shed a little bit more light on this Warrior. He married a "Hometown" gal from Fort Worth, and I would like to share his info with the #1 British Flying Training School Museum in Terrell, Texas

CORSON, Trooper, FRANK W., B/61382, 5th (Armd.) Div. H.Q. Sqn., 6th Duke of Connaught's Royal Canadian Hussars, R.C.A.C. 23 November 1943. Age 24. Son of F. Arnold Corson and Rebecca Dailey Corson; husband of Zena Patricia Corson, of Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A. Grave Ref. III. E. 11.

Any and all help would truly be appreciated, can't find a whole lot of info on the net, just what I have above, all the sights seemed to have copied one another !

Doing some research, I found his father had passed away in Toronto, Canada, so I am guessing that is where Trooper Corson originated from !

Thanks as always Temujin, given that the address for his wife at the time was in England, I guess he had met his wife Zena Patricia Corson, of Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A. while they were both in England

My mother, Zena Patricia ,was married to Frank Corson during the war. They met in England, she was born in London,England, and they had a son ,Francis Michael Corson. After his death, she came over on a troop ship to Canada along with Michael who was 2 at the time. His grandparents on Franks side (Herleign),were very well known in the Fort Worth ,Texas area and she moved there. She met my father and they moved to Miami,Fla and as far as I know there was no further contact between her and Franks family. Frank and Zena's son, my half brother, lives in New Jersey. My mother passed away in 2012. She never mentioned Franks parents, only his grandparents.
