Dakota KG433 No. 436 Squadron crash on October 11, 1945: Navigator, F/O R.R. Harrison, J/25864, RCAF, Died of Injuries on October 13, 1945 looking for his home town if anyone can lend a hand please ! Appreciate any and all help !!!!

This is a strange one George, I can’t find ANY of the crew that died. Two died in the crash, and two die latter of their injuries.

Let me look further and see if I can find him

Another Texan who was not from far away

Dakota, KG433, October 11, 1945

Aircraft crashed at R.A.F. Down Ampney, after a period of training, the Elephants [436 Sqn] carried their first cargoes to Paris and Auxerre on October 9th. Two days later fog rolled in over the aerodrome and an aircraft captained by F/L K. J. Blevins crashed on landing due to an aircraft engine failure, undershot on night landing approach and crashed 3 miles short of the runway killing the pilot and copilot, F/L W. E. Hopkins; the wireless operator and the navigator, F/Os E. H. Neufeld and R. R. Harrison, both subsequently died of injuries.

Crew:
Pilot: Flt Lt K.J. Blevins, J/11762, RCAF, killed day of the crash, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Pilot: Flt Lt W.E. Hopkins, J/15012, RCAF, Killed day of crash, Denison, Texas, U.S.A.
WOP/Gnr: F/O E.H. Neufeld, J/49277, RCAF, Died of Injuries October 12, 1945, St. Boswells, Saskatchewan, Canada.
