Post by Temujin » Sun Dec 05, 2021 11:10 am

George, found this man, he was born in Holland, family came to USA when he was 8 months all. Documents show they all became Americans in Hollywood, CA.

He joined RAF, and was in training in Canada when he crashed. Info I found follows

Temujin,

Thanks for the heads up on Cadet Richard Beukema, what I have found was that he was on a training flight, something (Unknown) was wrong with the aircraft (Cornell III, # 15027) so he was attempting a forced landing at Glady's Ridge Relief Field, unfortunately, he was not able to make the airfield and crashed one mile northeast of the field, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Cheers for the heads up on Cadet Beukema !

George
