Hi Temujin. We came across the attached document on the L.A.C. site, that provides a pretty nice summary of documents for the C.E.F. Infantry Battalions, including the 38th, available through L.A.C. It's amazing how much of the WW1 documentation has been digitized. Very impressive.
We've all heard the common refrain by families of Veterans that "my Dad/Grandfather/Uncle never spoke much about the war". That is certainly the case with Arthur. Were it not for agencies like the L.A.C., websites like Wartimes.ca, and dedicated individuals such as yourself and Phil, much of this legacy - the memory and sacrifice of these brave men and women, would be lost. That would be a tragedy. Hopefully, we can see WW2 records digitized to the same extent in the not too distant future.
Again, thanks for this tremendous research. We've got a lot of reading to do.
