Welcome to the site! Could you expand a little further on your site and effort? What is the goal in regards to missing soldiers? Are these efforts directed at soldiers of all nationalities? Once again, welcome, we'll try to help where we can.

Re: Missing soldiers in the Netherlands 1940-1945
Great comments Phil……..I too looked at his website and was “confused” on what it was trying to do. In fact the web pages have so many “items” on a long list on each page, it’s very hard to tell what is being done and where to get info…….I’ve clicked on some of the pages and they just lead me to more pages of long lists of items to click on……really not telling me what the site is trying to achieve.
So, I’m not sure if the site is trying to identify the “Known only to God” graves (unidentified interments) or is looking for men and women who are actually “missing” (without a grave at all, such as aircrew), which seems very strange, as we KNOW the names of the missing, we just don’t have a grave, or body or internment. I would “suspect” it the first case, trying to identified existing graves of war dead.
Hopefully the site owner can give us more information and we then know what we may be helping with or “if” we can help

Trying to give those who are still missing in the Netherlands in the period 1940-1945 the attention they need as this is still a subject which is not given the attention they need. Further trying to give the unknowns an known grave, which through out the years was achieved in at least 2 cases, No doubt if the CWGC would open the graves when a good case is presented like the americans do, and make use of DNA, more unknowns would no have a known grave.

Difficult tasks to be sure, and only so much can be done through data research. DNA matching seems like the most promising method of answering these question, though again, this is more a case-by-case or administrative effort where one would have to fundraise and liaison between grave management organizations, testing labs and DNA databases like Ancestry.org.Missing soldiers wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 11:00 amTrying to give those who are still missing in the Netherlands in the period 1940-1945 the attention they need as this is still a subject which is not given the attention they need. If you have any questions related to specific servicemen or women, battles or whatnot, now or in the future, we can certainly lend a hand in researching.
A commendable effort in your site, I hope it leads to some success.

If I understand things correctly, and am navigating your site correctly, it is these Canadians that have some questions remaining around them.
