Need help on researching F/O W.B. Turner, J/38394, RCAF Squadron No. 405, Lancaster, PB650, January 29, 1945. Aircraft on bombing mission to Stuttgart, Germany. Aircraft took off from RAF Gransden Lodge at 2035 hrs. Believed to have come down at Deufringen, 2 km West from the small town of Aidlingen.

I have paperwork saying he was from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, but I also have paperwork saying he was from or has connection with Anderson, Indiana, U.S.A. Any help would truly be appreciated.

Cheers !

Born Winnipeg 2 November 1923. The estate section of his file has him as a lifelong resident of Manitoba. Father was born in England and mother in Manitoba. Last bit of correspondence on the file is a 1956 letter from his mother to Department of National Defence for Air enquiring about visiting their son's grave. The return address was Winnipeg.

Thank You Ludford 101, I see the error I made by switching around the initials.

Cheers
