I’m a little confused by this post. These are TWO separate units correct? The 14th Cdn Field Regiment, RCA and the 4th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, RCA....correct..................................................YES

So your looking to identify the men in BOTH Regiments, or just the 14th Cdn Field Regiment?........................BOTH

And did you want to identify the men in the photos......or are you just looking for All that served in the Regiment...........BOTH

And are you looking for a list of men who landed on D Day..........I HAVE A LOT OF THE D-DAY LANDINGS FOR BOTH BUT ALSO A LOT MISSING.

Sorry, just have a little issue with trying to figure out exactly. I went to the links posted, but they didn’t clarify my confusion on what is being sought.

Cheers
Thanks for those listings for the 14th, I'll check them against my spreadsheet. do you have access to the same ones for the 4th? Is there a way I could get better copies of those photos? Can they be ordered?

Your welcome. All these records are avaiable on the Links I posted. You can make each of the records “clearer” by going to the file and “zooming in” on the record. You don’t have to order them. I can also send you the screen shots that I took by e-mail. If you would like these, just send my your e-mail address by Private Message on this website, and I can send them all directly to you.

The “4th”, Are you looking for Nominal Rolls for the 4th LAA Regiment also? If Yes, I’ll find the files for this Regiment and post the links so that you can look for them yourself.

It does take time to find this info, as you have to search the records “manually” and page by page

Cheers

The picture of the 34 the battery you posted. I studied the picture and didn't recognize Any one in it from other pics or find my father or his other friends who should have been in it? Also that 34 written below the picture looks more like 54 or 94. Note I have picture of the Regiment taken in England in 1941. I Also have one of the 32 and 34 batteries which I don't know how to post properly to your site. Though I've made an attempt.

Any help in getting the pics posted properly would be appreciated.

All you need to do to “add” photo’s, is go below your post........you’ll see two tabs, one marked OPTIONS and one marked ATTACHMENTS

Click on ATTACHMENTS........You then can “add files”.........so when you click on ADD FILES it brings up Options of “Take Photo”, “Photo Library”, “Browse”

So, if your photo is ‘saved” in your photo library, just click on this, and then “attach” the photo you want to upload.

One you add it, you’ll see the photo “uploading” to the site.....then you just have to add it to the page.....

Give me a second and I’ll post photo’s on how to do this

PLACE INLINE will only show up if your photo has successful uploaded to the site........also a “GREEN check mark” appears to confirm this..........

ALSO, the site has a “file size” limitation, if your photo EXCEEDS this size, a warning box will appear telling you the file is TOO LARGE.....you can then try to “resize” the photo to a smaller format if needed

FINALLY, click on SUBMIT at the bottom of your post.......and check to see that all your photo’s are now showing

Two pics one of 32 and 34 battery 1940.
The second taken from the large regimental photo Taken in England 1941. I have no idea how to photograph it to pass on.
If you look at the two Sargents in the center 2nd row the one on the right is James Bly and the one on the left is Ed Lee who is mentioned on page 32 of the History of the Regiment. He received a certificate for bravery.

Two other things I thought may be of interest.
One is a great book by George Blackburn, 'Where the Hell Are the Guns' a great history of the 4th Field Artillery who trained in Petawawa and were stationed in Sussex England before D-DAY, the same as the 14th so that it gives you a good idea what they went through as well. I read it with the History of The 14th by my side to check when they were at similar places for training.

Secondly as you know the Regiment sailed for England on July 21, 1941 on The Empress of Canada (which was sank in the Mediterranean by an Italian Submarine in 1943). I have attached a copy of the sailing notice.
