Not sure if there is any other info out there on Pilot Officer Ian Fraser Preston, R.C.A.F., J/15388, R.A.F. No. 126 Squadron Killed in Action in defense of Malta on September 23, 1942. Believe it was in a Spitfire, not sure. Showing him from Glencoe, Illinois. Again, any help and assistance would truly be appreciated !

Cheers

George

Not finding anything specific on him. Record below is from Malta War Diaries, but they do not indicate a aircraft lost on that day BUT lis P/O Ian Preston as a casualty that day

Temujin, as always, Thank You for the info, as confusing as it is, but as with others that were lost from Malta, it must have been one place no one really wanted to be, and some of the info is just not known. Thank You ! Hope all is well !

Cheers

George

Your welcome George.

Some more info on him I found while searching. He took some of his flight training at

No. 15 Service Flying Training School Claresholm (side note, I was born in Claresholm, my grandmother worked at the Station during WW2)
