Greeting, looking for more hometowns on this crew as well, the Crew Survived, which is probably why I am having issues finding hometowns,
Halifax, MZ680, February 1, 1945, R.A.F. No. 76 Squadron
Aircraft took off from RAF Holme-on-Spalding Moor on a bombing mission to Mainz, Germany. Aircraft released their bomb load over the target at 19.38hrs from 18,500 feet. On the flight home the starboard inner engine burst into flames. The pilot successfully shut down the engine and feathered the propeller. The Graviner fire extinguisher system was switched on but this did not entirely put out the flames, as they then made their way back to Yorkshire the flames went out. Despite the damage the crew flew back to Holme on Spalding Moor and landed safely

Your Welcome George…..I’d do that if I could, we’re getting kind of tired of the cooler Jun Temps here (and wind)….but suppose to start warming up here this week into the 90’s (which is hot for this area).georgetanksherman wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 1:17 amThanks again Temujin for the info, while I am at it, could you send some of that cool weather down here, getting kinda toasty
