Greetings Everyone,

Just wanting to make sure my info is correct, and see if someone can verify it, Lt. Charles Duane Hendrickson, Hamilton, Montana, RCAF/USAAF. LAC Hendrickson attended and graduated from No. 4 SFTS, (Thanks Temujin) was sent to England where he was assigned to R.A.F. No. 58 Squadron, while with this squadron he transferred to USAAF but stayed with R.A.F. No. 58 Squadron. Sadly, on October 16, 1944, he was killed in action, this is where it gets confusing, all the pages that talk about losses for RAF No. 58 Squadron, there is no mention of the loss of Lt. Hendrickson, there was a Halifax lost on the date that Find-A-Grave says that Lt. Hendrickson was KIA, Halifax HX178.

This site verifies that Hendrickson, C. was with No. 58 Sqdn, in the USAAF, and he died on October 16, 1944. but does not verify the aircraft.

Appreciate any help !

George
