Need to see if there is any information out there for RCAF/ USAAF Capt. James F. Edward, 0-886128, 356 Ftr Sqdn, P-51's.

Prior to his Transfer to USAAF, he got his wings training in Canada with RCAF, once training was complete, he was sent to England and assigned Manning Pool which sent him to RAF No. 56 Squadron flying the Hawker Typhoon, flying over 100 missions

Looking for his hometown, if possible !

Note: This Warrior is NOT the James Francis "Eddie" / "Stocky" Edwards born in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, Canada

Any help would be appreciated !

George

Temujin,

Yeah, I stumbled on that page on American Museum while researching another, not sure I like the way they changed their pages on that site, it gets a bit confusing. It's wild they have that info, but from there it comes to a complete stop, will keep looking as well !

All the Best and Cheers !

You are right, I can’t find anything on him…….nothing in US Papers, the American Museum says he was a Lt Col later, and you’d think their would be an obit or something mentioning him or that……….I might have one last try to see if I can find something

Thanks Temujin for the info, still his hometown is a mystery! Can't seem to find it anywhere ! Found where he was with SFTS 11, and then assigned to RAF No. 51 Squadron.

Hope things are going okay, Physical Therapy is tearing me up :-)

All the best, CHEERS !

George
