NOTE: Their is no such Regiment as the 1st Scottish Regiment………but in the article, it says the 9th Armoured Regiment…….this Regiments name was the 9th Canadian Armoured Regiment (British Columbia Dragoons) and is from British Columbia (where I live)…….so the rest is just a security screen

This is what I found on Flt Sgt John D. Bittner

Wellington, DF626, January 29, 1943, RCAF 420 Squadron

Aircraft was on its return from Lorient, France, crew obviously had problems with the aircraft as it released its bomb load just before it crashed, aircraft crashed near Exeter, England

Crew:
Pilot: W/O 2 D. Sanderson, R/103915, RCAF, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Killed
Nav: Flt Sgt C. Downton, R/97522, RCAF, Fleggburgh, Norfolk, England. Killed
Obs: Flt Sgt H. Sealy, R/93087, RCAF, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Killed
Sgt P. Beauchamp, RCAF, Survived, Injured
Gnr: Sgt J. Bittner, R/137089, RCAF, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Killed
Sgt H. Ernst, RCAF, Survived, Injured

Temujin,

I have nothing on the Sequin Brothers, on with the research, Just F.Y.I. since last Wednesday, your help got me another 132 guys for the Army, and three for the Canadian Army Women's Corp.
