Can anyone help with the following conundrum, I have two names attributed to the same service number and don't know which is correct, although I suspect it is the latter individual. Many thanks for posting I didn't have the press cuttings for Mulligan. He was lost after they were forced to ditch in the North Sea on return from MAGDEBURG on 21/22 January 1944.They had bombed the target but were attacked by multiple enemy fighters on the return journey and No2 and No4 fuel tanks ...

Thanks for this, great detective work. Whilst his name still remains a mystery it does help with confirming the dates he returned to Canada. Can I ask where the document is from? Is it something I can search online?

First names of Canadian airman

Can anyone help with the first names of R253995 SGT I K IRWIN? He served initially with No. 78 Squadron and then moved to No.35 Squadron in January 1945.

George, another one identified today: J19671 Morris William BENTSON DFC a pilot who served with No. 78 Squadron from April to October 1944 and completed 40 ops. His death certificate shows that he was born in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, USA on the 17th December 1917 to Jaeger and Josephine Bentson. His fat...
