Found the info. He had a mid-air collision with a Spitfire. His aircraft was a Hurricane IIB Z5001 . When I found the records and they confirm the aircraft number.......I could have gone back and amended my first post, but I decided to leave it......its just all part of the “search” for info. Follow Up. From the ORB of 403 Squadron. It confirms that “your info” indicate it was Spitfire IXB MJ 572 was the aircraft he was flying when he crashed that day
