Re: F/S Paul Walter Gregory 923461 RAF
Hi Temujin, Getting old is not for the weak. I will keep this in mind and only ask when I am really stumped. Most of what I am checking is easily found, but the Library and Archives Canada site on Canadian War Dead has been invaluable. But there are always questions that elude us from time to time. ...

Re: F/S Paul Walter Gregory 923461 RAF
Hi Temujin, Sorry for the delay in replying. Giving the families some details regarding the operations their relatives were on when they were lost, injured or taken PoW is part of the Chronology too. Which is why I have a brief synopsis of Bomber Command operations for each operation, culled from Mi...

Re: F/S Paul Walter Gregory 923461 RAF
Hi Temujin,
I'm stunned! I really thought this would be a dead end.
But, hey, it wasn't.
Many MANY Thanks for this. I'll add it to the information in the Errata.
All the Very Best,

F/S Paul Walter Gregory 923461 RAF
Hi, Been a while. I just got to F/S P.W. Gregory RAF, lost from 61 Squadron Lancaster R5615 QR-H June 27-28, 1942. He is listed in They Shall Grow Not Old as a Canadian, from Forest, Ontario. But the only record I can find on this airman on a web search indicates he was from Paignton, Devon, England...

Re: F/L Henry Percy Duval MiD 63092 RAF
Hi Temujin,
Thanks for the confirmation on the MiD. I just stopped in to check on my monthly clean-out of the computer.
I'll add it to the entry.

Re: F/L Henry Percy Duval MiD 63092 RAF
Hi Temujin, Sorry for the delay in replying, I was formatting the latest update to the Chronology. That update will include several references to this site, all your work. And I feel guilty at the amount of work you put into this matter. But I think you have covered it fully, and answered the questi...

F/L Henry Percy Duval MiD 63092 RAF
Hi All, Here's a tough one, with many possible errors. F/L Duval MiD RAF (Can.) was lost from 403 Squadron April 27, 1942, when he collided with the Squadron CO S/L C.N.S. Campbell DFC RAF over France. S/L Campbell was taken PoW. They Shall Grow Not Old references that F/L Duval had flown in the Bat...

Re: Sgt Thomas Joseph Delaney 798558 RAF (NFLD)
Hi All, Sorry for the delay in replying and Thanking all those who responded. For some reason I could not log into the site. Well, from the information, I think there might well have been two T.J. Delaney's from Newfoundland. One, Sgt Air Gunner Delaney who was killed, and the other a commissioned p...

Sgt Thomas Joseph Delaney 798558 RAF (NFLD)
Hi All, I have a question about Sgt Thomas Joseph Delaney 798558 RAF, of Plancentia, Newfoundland, killed April 12, 1942, 107 Sqn. Boston W8355 shot down into the sea off France by flak. He is listed as an Air Gunner in most sites, but an article from the Hamilton Spectator reproduced on the Canadia...
